Das Seminar verfolgt ein dreifaches Ziel:
1. soll die Forschungslage zum Thema aufgearbeitet werden. Dabei sollen auch lokale Fehlstellen benannt werden.
2. soll eine Geschichtsstraße zum Nationalsozialismus in der Region Ostwestfalen erstellt und als Buch veröffentlicht werden. Entsprechend fließen hier Ansätze der außerschulischen Geschichtsdidaktik (Freizeit- und Tourismusdidaktik) mit ein. Wichtig sind ferner die Verknüpfungen zu schon bestehenden lokalen Geschichtslehrpfaden und -führern zum Thema "NS-Geschichte". Ggf. kann die Route auch bei der Neukonzeptionierung des Museums Wewelsburg als Ausstellungsmodem berücksichtigt werden.
3. soll ein schuldidaktisches Konzept erstellt werden, das Schulklassen eine möglichst selbständige Nutzung eines solchen Exkursionsangebots ermöglicht.
Während Ziel 1 im vergangenen Wintersemester erarbeitet wurde, soll nun der Schwerpunkt auf den Punkten 2 und 3 liegen.
