Im Rahmen der Lehrveranstaltung werden an Hand von aktuellen Veröffentlichungen aus Teilgebieten der Biologie das Verstehen und Verfassen von englischen wissenschaftlichen Texten sowie deren mündliche Präsentation geübt und gefestigt. Ziel ist es, den für Biologen sowohl für Abschlussarbeiten als auch im Berufsalltag erforderlichen englischen Wortschatz aus Teilgebieten der Biologie wie z.B. Ökologie, Botanik, Tierphysiologie, Entwicklungsbiologie und Bioinformatik kennen zu lernen und anzuwenden. Voraussetzung für die Teilnahme ist der Nachweis fortgeschrittener Englischkenntnisse.
