392233 Project: ML-Supported energy consumption prediction for the XTS (Pj) (WiSe 2025/2026)

Contents, comment

The XTS linear transport system from Beckhoff consists of several movers that can be moved under centralised control. When neural networks are used for motion planning, there is always a risk of unwanted movements or collisions occurring due to the black box nature of the models. To prevent this, this project aims to develop a safety shield that avoids collisions. The safety shield will first be developed in a Python simulation of the XTS and can then be transferred to a real XTS.
