209803 Mastermodul III "Mathematische Methoden der Systembiologie II" (V+Ü) (SoSe 2018)

Dieses Modul ist den mathematischen Grundlagen für das vertiefte Studium der Systembiologie gewidmet. Neben der Wiederholung der wichtigsten Konzepte aus Analysis und linearer Algebra geht es um das Studium der linearen Differentialgleichungen, Wahrscheinlichkeitstheorie und Statistik. Sobald es die einzelnen Themenbereiche erlauben, werden anwendungsorientierte Probleme behandelt. Je nach Fragestellung kommen hierbei auch andere Theorien zum Einsatz (Graphentheorie, stochastische Prozesse, Spieltheorie,...). Begleitend zur Vorlesung wird das Softwarepaket "Matlab" eingeführt.

Kompetenzerwerb:
Die Studierenden sollen die genannten mathematischen Konzepte verstehen und anwenden lernen. Durch das Erarbeiten praxisnaher Probleme werden sie an die mathematische Modellierung - die geeignete mathematische Abbildung eines realen Prozesses - herangeführt.
