Wir benutzen die Sprache nicht nur dazu, die Welt zu beschreiben. Wir können mit sprachlichen Mitteln auch auffordern, befehlen, bitten, Versprechen geben, grüßen, Empfehlungen aussprechen und Fragen stellen. Die Theorie, die sich mit dieser Vielfalt von Handlungen beschäftigt, ist die Sprechakttheorie.
Im Seminar werden wir uns intensiv mit den zwei grundlegenden Texten der Sprechakttheorie - Austins How to Do Things with Words und Searles Speech Acts - beschäftigen, aber auch neuere Arbeiten diskutieren.
Eine Leistungsbescheinigung (BA- oder Master of Education-Studiengang) wird ausgestellt für einen kurzen Essay und das Bestehen einer Klausur.
Ein Leistungsnachweis (Magister- oder Lehramts-Studiengang) wird ausgestellt für eine Hausarbeit.

Magister- und Lehramtsstudiengänge: Zwischenprüfung.
