Nach einer Begriffsbestimmung werden wir uns mit verschiedenen Varietäten des Deutschen befassen. Wir werden Umgangssprache, Standardsprache und Bildungssprache betrachten. Ferner werden wir uns mit Dialekten und Soziolekten befassen und sprachliche Varietäten für bestimmte Gruppen (kindgerichtete Sprache, foreigner talk und Leichte Sprache) kennen lernen.
