Das Seminar bietet eingangs eine Einführung in die prophetische Literatur. Der Schwerpunkt liegt dann aber auf den Büchern Jeremia und Ezechiel (Hesekiel). Beide Propheten treten in der entscheiden Umbruchszeit Judas auf: der judäische Staat zerbricht, die Gesellschaft löst sich auf und der bisherige Kult des Nationalgottes JHWH wird fragwürdig. Die Prophetie reagiert auf diese umfassende Krisensituation mit einer radikal auf Umkehr abzielenden Verkündigung. Im Seminar sollen die verschiedenen historischen Situationen und die prophetischen ‚Antworten’ korreliert werden.
