- Short Description
In the last years, speech recognition has made big steps forward for practical and daily usage and will used as an essential part of future smart homes. Apart from active voice control, speech recognition can be used to detect anomalies to provide first indications of possible medical conditions. In this project different open source speech recognition frameworks (e.g. CMUsphinx, DeepSpeech, Kaldi) will be evaluated in terms of accuracy, features and hardware requirements. A prototype should be developed to detect mispronunciations of words from one person (e.g. based on phonemes) and determine the variance.
Please note that the teams will be selected by the supervisors on the basis of short applications that students are expected to send to them. Registering to the project in the ekVV will only be regarded as expression of interest; it will not secure a team membership.
