Neben ökonomischem und kulturellem Kapital ist auch das Sozialkapital in vielfältiger Weise mit der Entstehung und der Weitergabe sozialer Ungleichheiten verknüpft. Der Wirkungszusammenhang von Sozialkapital und sozialer Ungleichheit ist dabei komplex und lässt sich auf verschiedenen Ebenen beschreiben. Im Seminar werden diese Wirkungszusammenhänge näher betrachtet und anhand von Beispielen konkretisiert. In Kombination mit verschiedenen familiensoziologischen und netzwerk-theoretischen Modellen werden Möglichkeiten der Beschreibung und der Messung von sozialem Kapital theoretisiert und in die Erforschung der Entstehung und der Weitergabe sozialer Ungleichheiten eingebettet. Das Seminar führt dabei auch kurz in die Grundlagen der Netzwerkanalyse ein.

Studienleistung:
Beteiligung an Gruppenarbeiten (u.a. Bearbeitung von Übungsaufgaben, Entwicklung von Forschungsdesigns, Datenerhebung und Auswertung), Moderations- oder Protokolltätigkeit und Referate nach Vorgaben der/des Dozent/in. Die Studienleistung dient der kommunikativen (schriftlichen und/oder mündlichen) Einübung und dem Erlernen der zu erwerbenden Kompetenz mit Fokus auf die Interaktionssituation des Seminars. Die Studienleistung ist Teil des Selbststudiums und der Präsenzzeit und entspricht etwa einem Zeitaufwand von 30 h.
Hausarbeit:
Das Seminar bietet den Studierenden die Möglichkeit ihre Kenntnisse theoretischer Ansätze im Bereich der Erforschung sozialer Ungleichheiten zu vertiefen. Im Rahmen des Seminars kann eine Hausarbeit im Umfang von 20-30 Seiten angefertigt werden.
