In this seminar, students from MA-level degree programmes in the social sciences, sociology in particular, can present proposals for their MA thesis and work-in-progress. The seminar is broadly conceived and topics can include, but not limited to, transnational and global migration processes, refugee movements, mobilities and connections between and within global South & global North, transnational social spaces and economies, transnational social movements and religious communities, global value chains or global knowledge production. We will meet every other week, and the aim is for each participant to have a slot of 45-60 minutes to present their work and gather feedback from the other participants and the convenors. Participants are required to upload their text one week before their session. You can present in either English or German.
