Multiculturalism in the USA today is a complex issue. In a country where people from so many different ethnic and cultural backgrounds come together, is it possible for particular ethnic identities, heritages and histories to be recognized? How strong is the pressure to give up your background and fully blend in with the society you're living in? How does the blending work? Which metaphor fits best: salad bowl, pizza or the melting pot?
NB; this study group will meet for the first time after Easter, on 19th April!
