Im Mittelpunkt des Seminars stehen der regelmäßige Austausch über die fachspezifischen schulischen Erfahrungen und die Diskussion über die damit verbundenen fachdidaktischen Fragestellungen und Herausforderungen. Je nach den Interessen und Bedürfnissen der Studierenden können dabei z. B. Arbeitsweisen oder Quellengattungen beispielhaft in den Blick genommen werden, etwa audiovisuelle Quellen, digitale Medien, Schulbucharbeit, inklusive Unterrichtsgestaltung, ... Daneben bietet das Begleitseminar Raum, aus der Durchführung der Studienprojekte über die Vertiefung hinaus auch im Plenum zu berichten und eine Rückmeldungen der Kommilitoninnen und Kommilitonen einzuholen.
