Eines der komischsten und zugleich rätselhaftesten Werke der deutschen Literatur des späten Mittelalters ist ‚Der Ring‘ von Heinrich Wittenwiler. Die Gattungsbestimmungen reichen von didaktischer Enzyklopädie bis zur Satire der mittelalterlichen Dichtung. Im Seminar werden ausgewählte Passagen im frühneuhochdeutschen Original gelesen und ausführlich besprochen.
