The tutorial is dedicated to the multimodal analysis of human behavior. In this tutorial, you will explore different types of multimodal signals and dive into methods to analyze, process and interpret them automatically. The focus is on the interpretation of social behavior and emotion expression, due to their high relevance for human-computer interactions. Different modalities of behavioral and affective expression will be analyzed (e.g., movements, facial expressions, voice, physiological responses) and discussed with respect to their meaning and interpretation.
The main focus of this tutorial is on implementing or using methods for social signal processing with Python (sufficient knowledge needed). The tutorial corresponds with the lecture “Multimodal Behavior Processing” and it is highly recommend to take both in the same semester.
