This course is intended to give exam candidates (Sek I, Sek II, Mag.) an opportunity to gain experience in the forms and level of performance demanded in the language part of the written exam. The work in this class will be based largely on tasks set in former exams and will be conducted virtually with only an initial and irregular intermediate classroom sessions. Regular translation work will be assigned and collected and a model translation with annotations will be provided. Writing assignments will also be assigned and individually assessed. Listening will be dealt with virtually, and Points of Usage will be examined together in class. In the course of the semester a mock exam, which is open only to those taking the written exam in the summer of 2006, will be written, collected, assessed, returned, and discussed.
The course is addressed only to students preparing to take the exam in the summer of 2006 or the spring of 2007.
