Der christliche Glaube an den dreieinigen Gott fand seine dogmatische Entfaltung in der "Trinitätslehre". Deren wechselvolle und spannungsreiche Geschichte war mit den Konzilien von Nicäa (325) und Konstantinopel (381), auf denen die Lehre verbindlich formuliert wurde, keineswegs zu Ende. Die Trennung zwischen West- und Ostkirche 1054, antitrinitarische Strömungen während der Reformationszeit, die Kritik bzw Bestreitung der Trinität im Rationalismus der Aufklärung, ihre Wiederentdeckung im spekulativen Idealismus (Schelling, Hegel), ihre Um- bzw. Neuformulierung und auch ihre Bestreitung in der Theologie des 20. Jahrhunderts - das sind Stationen und Wendpunkte dieser Geschichte.
Ein Problem besonderer Art ist die Sperrigkeit der Trinitätslehre für den interreligiösen Dialog.
Das Proseminar wird einen Überblick über die Lehrentwicklung geben und exemplarische trinitätstheologische Konzeptionen reflektieren (u.A. Augustinus, Schleiermacher, Barth). Schritte des Proseminars werden sein:

  • Triadische Texte in Neuen Testament
  • Die Lehrentwicklung bis 381
  • Trinitätstheologische Konzeptionen im 19. Und 20 Jhdt.
