392127 The Social Brain (S) (SoSe 2017)

Contents, comment

In this seminar we will explore the neurocognitive foundations of social interaction in the context of the social brain hypothesis. To that end, we will read and discuss literature on topics such as joint action, social gaze, agency, embodied cognition, predictive processing, mirroring, and theory of mind.
It will be obligatory for students to read and discuss papers on a weekly basis. For successfully completing the seminar you will in addition need to prepare one paper for a presentation and discussion in one of our weekly meetings, and you will have to hand in an essay on the topic of your paper, due at the end of the semester.
