In diesem Modul sollen Studierende einen Einblick in die aktuellen Fragen und Arbeitsmethoden der Evolutionsbiologie erhalten. Das Projektthema kann in Absprache mit den Lehrenden relativ frei gewählt werden; mögliche Themengebiete umfassen etwa sexuelle Selektion, akustische Kommunikation und Optimierung von Verhaltensweisen. Dabei kommen sowohl experimentelle als auch theoretische Ansätze in Frage. Neben der Erarbeitung des entsprechenden Fachwissens liegt ein Schwerpunkt auf dem Vermitteln methodischer Kenntnisse, d.h. Ideenfindung, Planung, Durchführung und Auswertung wissenschaftlicher Experimente sollen gelernt werden. Interessenten melden sich bitte bei einem der obenstehenden Lehrenden zur Vereinbarung eines Themas.
Als Leistungsnachweis dienen wahlweise eine schriftliche Ausarbeitung in Form einer wissenschaftlichen Veröffentlichung oder ein wissenschaftliches Poster.
