Die Zeit der englischen Reformation ist eine Zeit des Umbruchs und der Neuorientierung in England.
Das Modul widmet sich dieser Epoche und berücksichtigt dabei verschiedene Aspekte. Neben der Religions- und Reformationsgeschichte im engeren Sinne, werden anhand von Sekundärliteratur und Primärquellen auch Mediengeschichte, Geschlechtergeschichte sowie Regionalgeschichte adressiert und diskutiert.
Im Seminar wird zudem die Prüfungsleistung in Form einer Hausarbeit vorbereitet. Erwartet wird zudem die Vorbereitung einer Quelleninterpretation sowie eines Posters zur Hausarbeit.

Das Seminar sollte idealerweise gemeinsam mit dem Kurs "Die Reformation in England" belegt werden, da beide Veranstaltungen eng aufeinander bezogen sind und die Sitzungen als vierstündiger Block geplant sind.
