In dem Projekt 'Parallel ProgrammingŽ geht es um die praktische
Vermittlung von parallelen sowie verteilten Programmierkenntnissen mit
MPI [Message Passing Interface]. In der ersten Hälfte der Projektphase
sollen durch Kurzvorträge und praxisnahe Übungen die Grundlagen für ein
Programmierprojekt entstehen. Dieses Projekt soll dann in der zweiten
Phase realisiert werden.

Welche Ausrichtung dieses Projekt annimmt, kann in den ersten Wochen
noch diskutiert werden.

Mögliche Themen wären zum Beispiel Parallelisierung einer vorhandenen
Anwendung oder die parallele Implementierung von Suchstrategien in
Graphen.

Requirements for participation, required level

Als Voraussetzung für die Teilnahme an diesem Projekt sollte man im
Hauptstudium einer Naturwissenschaft z.B NWI etc. sein und die Begriffe
'C++Ž und 'LinuxŽ schon einmal gehört haben. Die Teilnehmerzahl ist auf
8 Personen beschränkt. Interessenten können sich per Email an
