Im Seminar wird auf psychische Probleme und Störungen eingegangen, bei denen Gewalt und Aggression eine wichtige Rolle spielen. Dabei werden sowohl ätiologische Fragen behandelt, als auch exemplarische Ansätze zur Therapie und Prävention. Geplant sind u.a. folgende Themenbereiche: Grundbegriffe und Theorieansätze der Aggressionsforschung, Prävalenz verschiedener Formen von Gewalt und Aggression, Entstehung von Gewalt/Aggression, Gewalt/Aggression als Ursache psychischer Probleme und Störungen, antisoziale Persönlichkeitsstörung, Ursachen und Folgen verschiedener Mißbrauchsformen, sexuelle Gewalt/Aggression, Gewalt/Aggression in der Partnerschaft, Rolle von Medien, Therapieansätze (Aggression Replacement Training, Sexual-straftäter, Mißbrauchsopfer u.a.) sowie Konzepte und Wirksamkeit von Ansätzen zur Prävention.
Zuordnung im Curriculum "Klinische Psychologie und Psychotherapie": Schwerpunkt II, Seminar mit Forschungsschwerpunkt.
