270918 Theory, construction, and applications of psychological tests (course B) (S) (WiSe 2021/2022)

Contents, comment

In this seminar, we will touch on the theory, construction and measurement problems, applications of personality and cultural psychological measures (e.g., personality, depression, individualism-collectivism scale). Special attention will be given to cultural research and findings.

This seminar will provide students opportunities to evaluate psychological tests (basic psychometric characteristics, applications), and apply them in their work. Each student will get a chance to present on a psychological test and discuss the topic/test. Student may choose to write a paper on the test or write an empirical research paper reporting the results of the test.

Attention: The course will be held in English and in person on campus. Note that we might move online depending on the COVID-19 situation.

The seminar is for students who are in their first semester of the MSc program in Psychology. For these students it is the compulsory seminar (B.2) within module B, Psychological Diagnostics. Students of the MSc program have a priority right to take part in the seminar.
