Das Studienprojekt konzentriert sich auf die Anwendung von Techniken der Elektroenzephalographie (EEG) und des ereignisbezogenen Potenzials (ERP) zur Untersuchung kognitiver Prozesse im Forschungsbereich der motorischen Kontrolle, insbesondere der manuellen Handlungskontrolle. Das Studienprojekt ist sowohl als Einführung als auch als praktische Übung zu diesen Techniken gedacht und setzt keine Vorkenntnisse oder Erfahrungen mit EEG/ERP voraus. Grundlegende Kenntnisse der Statistik (allgemeines Verständnis von statistischen Tests, Korrelation, t-Test, ANOVA) und der Planung experimenteller Studien sind jedoch erforderlich.
In diesem Studienprojekt planen die Studierenden EEG-Experimente, führen sie in Kleingruppen durch, werten sie aus und diskutieren sie am Ende in der Seminargruppe. Die Studierenden erwerben grundlegende Kompetenzen in der Planung, Programmierung und Auswertung solcher Experimente und lernen, die gewonnenen Daten zu interpretieren.
Das Seminar und die zu bearbeitenden Projekte dienen als Vorbereitung für experimentelle BA-Arbeiten.
