230605 Betreuungsseminar für profilbezogene Praxisstudien: Profil: English as a Foreign Language (GHR) (S) (WiSe 2009/2010)

Contents, comment

This seminar will prepare participants for their practicum. Therefore we will concentrate on a variety of school- and teaching-related aspects.
First, the focus will be on practical aspects that are related to soft skills, like approaching whose classes we would like to observe or behaving in the classroom. After that we will consider the role of classroom observation. In connection with that we will explore a number of relevant observation tasks.
Finally, the focus will be on lesson planning and the evaluation of lesson plans. In this context, the requirements of the curriculum will also come into consideration.
Participants are expected to design a plan for a teaching unit and to put it to the test with the seminar group.
