Das Seminar beschäftigt sich mit den theoretischen und vermittlungspraktischen Aspekten des deutschen Wortschatzes einschließlich sogenannter fester Wortverbindungen. Im Einzelnen stehen folgende Fragen und Aspekte im Vordergrund:
1. Umfang und Verwendungsformen des deutschen Wortschatzes
2. Gedächtnis- und lernpsychologische Aspekte des Wortschatzlernens
3. Kulturspezifik des Wortschatzes und Prototypensemantik
4. Wortbedeutungsrelationen
5. Grundkategorien der Phraseologie: Polylexikalität, Festigkeit, Idiomatizität
6. Klassifizierungsproblematik und spezielle phraseologische Klassen
7. Prinzipien und Formen der Wortschatzvermittlung
8. Wortschatzvermittlung in verschiedenen Lehrwerkgenerationen
9. Lernstrategien und -techniken der autonomen Wortschatzarbeit.Der thematische Rahmen kann eventuell durch Wünsche der SeminarteilnehmerInnen ergänzt und erweitert werden. Von diesen wird eine aktive Teilnahme, d.h. die Bereitschaft zu regelmäßiger Anwesenheit, vorbereitender Seminarlektüre und Kurzreferaten erwartet
