Kants Aufsatz "Zum ewigen Frieden. Ein philosophischer Entwurf" von 1795 enthält eine kritische Revision des Völkerrechts durch seine Ausrichtung auf "allgemeine und fortdauernde Friedensstiftung". Im 19. Jh. überwiegend abgelehnt, wird die Schrift im 20. Jh. zunehmend einflußreich und populär. Sie soll in diesem Seminar einer durchgehenden Interpretation unterzogen werden.
