Statuspassagen markieren den Übergang in neue Lebensabschnitte im Verlaufe der Entwicklung von Individuen. Die berufliche Sozialisation ist dabei die Lebensphase, in der der weitere Lebensweg von Personen maßgeblich geprägt wird. Aufbauend auf grundlegenden sozialisationstheoretischen Konzeptionen soll im Rahmen des Seminars auf der einen Seite behandelt werden, inwieweit die im Rahmen der Auseinandersetzung mit der dinglichen und sozialen Lebenswelt entwickelte Erwartungen, Anspruchshaltungen und Interessenlagen die Entscheidungen für den Ausbildungsweg und die Wahl des konkreten Berufes beeinflussen. Auf der anderen Seite gilt es zu untersuchen, inwiefern sich spezifische Arbeitsbedingungen, -anforderungen und -inhalte, der Erfolg beim beruflichen Einstieg, die Arbeitsbiographie und die berufliche Karriere auf soziale und politische Einstellungen, auf soziale Deutungsmuster und Gesellschaftsbilder, auf Orientierungen und Werte, auf Verhalten und Befindlichkeiten wie auf die Persönlichkeitsentwicklung ingesamt auswirken.
