Im Seminar wird der Schwerpunkt auf die Lektüre einiger Klassiker der (ethnomethodologischen) Konversationsanalyse gelegt. Gefragt wird dabei vor allem nach der Begründung methodischer Prinzipien (in Abgrenzung von benachbarten Ansätzen zur Beschreibung mündlich-dialogischer Kommunikation), nach der Tragfähigkeit theoretischer und methodischer annahmen für die Analyse authentischer Kommunikationsereignisse und nach notwendigen Korrekturen und Ergänzungen aus heutiger Sicht. Dies setzt bei den TeilnehmerInnen die Bereitschaft zu einer intensiven Auseinandersetzung mit den größtenteils englischsprachigen Originaltexten voraus.
Von jedem Teilnehmer wird die Übernahme eines Referates erwartet.
