Der Fokus des Seminars liegt auf den globalen ökologischen Veränderungen in der Gegenwart. Schwerpunkte werden u.a.:
I Biodiversität und Ökosysteme,
II Invasive Pflanzenarten,
III Klimaänderungen auf Biodiversität und Ökosysteme,
IV Eutrophierung terrestrischer Ökosysteme und
V Veränderungen von Lebensräume der Menschen,sein, die erst allgemein vorgestellt werden und schließlich mit Hilfe gezielter Beiträge aus wissenschaftlichen Zeitschriften aufgearbeitet, präsentiert und diskutiert werden.
