Die einzelnen Techniken im Tennis lassen sich in verschiedene Schlagphasen zerlegen, wobei den einzelnen Phasen unterschiedliche Bedeutung für das Gelingen des gesamten Schlages beigemessen wird. Die theoretische Überlegung zur Ausführung der Schlagtechniken finden ihren Ausdruck in der treffpunktorientierten Lermethode.
Dieser Methode steht mit der spielorientierten Konzeption ein Lehrweg gegenüber, bei dem, zumindest zu Beginn, nicht die Ausbildung der sportartspezifischen Fertigkeiten, sondern die der koordinativen Fähigkeiten im Mittelpunkt steht. In diesem Kurs sollen beide Lehrwege vorgestellt und der Versuch einer Synthese unternommen werden. Weiterhin sollen die Möglichkeiten, aber auch die Grenzen der Sportart Tennis in Prävention und Rehabilitation aufgezeigt werden. Unter Umständen fallen Kosten bis ca. 10 Euro an, wenn aufgrund schlechter Witterung auf Hallenplätze ausgewichen werden muss.
