Gottlob Frege ist einer der wichtigsten Philosophen der Neuzeit. Seine Arbeiten haben nicht nur die Sprachphilosophie und die moderne Logik entscheidend geprägt, sondern durch ihre Klarheit und ihre begriffliche Schärfe auch den Stil des Philosophierens grundlegend verändert. Dabei sind die Fragen, mit denen Frege sich beschäftigt, bis heute aktuell: Was ist Bedeutung? Wie hängen Wortbedeutung und Satzbedeutung miteinander zusammen? Worum geht es in der Logik?
Wir werden uns im Seminar mit Freges wichtigsten Aufsätzen befassen (u.a. "Über Sinn und Bedeutung", "Über Begriff und Gegenstand", "Der Gedanke"), aber auch Ausschnitte aus der Begriffsschrift und den Grundlagen der Arithmetik diskutieren.
Eine Leistungsbescheinigung (BA- oder Master of Education-Studiengang) wird ausgestellt für ein Essay und eine weitere Leistung (Kurzreferat oder Stundenprotokoll).
Ein Leistungsnachweis (Magister- oder Lehramts-Studiengang) wird ausgestellt für eine Hausarbeit.

Magister- und Lehrmats-Studiengänge: Zwischenprüfung.
