Soziale Arbeit ist eine normale Sozialisationsinstanz, so behaupten manche. Mit Verweis auf die Kindertagesstätten und offene Jugendarbeitsangebote wird diese Normalisierungsthese gerne belegt. Zugleich scheint Soziale Arbeit - vielleicht wieder mehr denn je - auf Normalisierungstätigkeiten im Fall bestimmter Bevölkerungsgruppen verpflichtet zu werden. Was ist dran an der These der "Normalisierung Sozialer Arbeit"? Leben wir gar in einer "Normalisierungsgesellschaft"? Wer bestimmt eigentlich, was eine staatlich verfasste pädagogische Instanz für "normal" hält?
Diesen Fragen wird auf Basis einer grundlegenden Vergewisserung, was mit den Normalisierungsthesen gemeint ist, nachgegangen.
