Das Kolloquium bietet ein Diskussionsforum für aktuelle empirische und theoretische sozialpädagogische Fragestellungen. Mit der Aufarbeitung aktueller Theoriediskurse, der Vorstellung von Forschungsprojekten und der Einbindung regionalpolitischer Akteure wird die produktive Weiterführung der Fachdebatte verfolgt.
Anders als in den vorangegangenen Semestern ist geplant, alle Vorträge auf einen Termin Ende des Semesters zu legen, um die verschiedenen Beiträge im Rahmen eines Kolloquiumtages unter einer bestimmten Fragestellung zu bündeln. Im Wintersemester wird das die Frage nach dem Verhältnis von "Kinderarmut und Erziehungshilfe" sein, die mit ca. 5-6 ReferentInnen erörtert werden soll.
Die Studierenden werden aktiv in die Planung, Vorbereitung und Durchführung der Veranstaltung eingebunden und bekommen somit die Möglichkeit, neben der inhaltlichen Auseinandersetzung mit dem Thema Einblick in die zentralen Aspekte von Tagungsvorbereitungen zu gewinnen.
