This is an autonomous learning course. There will not be weekly lessons,but study materials placed in LernraumPlus. Support, advice and feedback will be available to students with intermittent meetings in Zoom.
This is the academic IELTS test preparation class.
It is NOT the general IELTS test preparation. The two IELTS tests are very different and for different purposes.
This course will focus on all the main language skills and exam techniques and strategies to enable students to obtain the
best grade.
You will do regular exam practice and receive feedback, correction and advice. The focus will also be on exam strategies for the four skills areas of reading, writing, speaking and listening. Particular attention will be given to grammar and academic vocabulary needed for all the four skills.
Students must hand in two essays to obtain course credit.
Successful completion of another B1-rated course
-or- a passing score for the B1 level on the C-Test of the Language Center (Infos unter https://www.uni-bielefeld.de/einrichtungen/fsz/tests_and_certs/placement/)
-or- a passing grade on the A2.2 Level Exam (given at then end of every summer semester).
