In an 2-day exercise block (usually on the Thursday/Friday after the last teaching week, but negotiable) will allow participants to apply their learned concepts and techniques in the context of a given theme.
In small mini-projects (usually a group of 2-4 students) we will design an interaction, 'smartify' an object or environment or the body using physical computing and implement the backbone software required to live experience a new quality of display or interaction.
The used physical computing platform (at this time BRIX2, see tiny.cc/brix2) will be introduced within the lecture. However, some mini-projects may use other hardware available in the Ambient Intelligence lab, such as webcams, microphones, loudspeaker arrays, depth cameras, LEAP, etc.

The binding module descriptions contain further information, including specifications on the "types of assignments" students need to complete. In cases where a module description mentions more than one kind of assignment, the respective member of the teaching staff will decide which task(s) they assign the students.
