Das Seminar beschäftigt sich mit dem Politischen System der Bundesrepublik Deutschland und seiner Aufarbeitung für den Politikunterricht. Den Studierenden werden sowohl politikwissenschaftliches Fachwissen als auch fachdidaktische Kenntnisse und Methoden vermittelt. Die Veranstaltung befähigt die Teilnehmer als angehende Lehrerinnen und Lehrer fachdidaktische Theorie in berufsorientierte Praxis umzusetzen. Unter besonderer Berücksichtigung der Chancen und Gefahren im Informationszeitalter lernen die Teilnehmer relevante Inhalte der Politikwissenschaft für den Lernenden im Politikunterricht aufzuarbeiten. Dabei wird die Veranstaltung stets von einer zentralen Frage begleitet: Was wird, warum, wozu und wie unterrichtet?
Am Donnerstag den 15.05.2008 soll im Rahmen des Seminars eine ganztägige Exkursion in den Düsseldorfer Landtag stattfinden. Diese Exkursion soll exemplarisch zur Aufarbeitung von fachdidaktischer Theorie und Wirklichkeit dienen und ist für alle SeminarteilnehmerInnen verpflichtend.
