Das Seminar widmet sich der Stadt Wien aus einer doppelten Perspektive: nicht nur war und ist Wien Zentrum literarischer Begegnungen zwischen Schriftsteller:innen, es ist darüber hinaus Gegenstand und Schauplatz literarischer Texte und erfreut sich dabei einer Beliebtheit, die bis heute anhält. Dieser literarischen Faszination um die Stadt Wien soll im Seminar nachgegangen werden. Neben der Lektüre einschlägiger Texte (Bachmann, Jelinek, Bernhard, Sargnagel, Schachinger), soll auf der geplanten Exkursion ein direkter Eindruck der ‚Literaturstadt Wien‘ gewonnen werden. Die Exkursion umfasst unter anderem einen Besuch des Burgtheaters, des Literaturmuseums, sowie des 2024 neu eröffnenden Wien Museums. Darüber hinaus sollen die Orte, die in den gelesenen Texten eine Rolle spielen, in einem literarischen Spaziergang direkt mit der eigenen Lektüreerfahrung verbunden werden.

Studienleistung:
Das Seminar umfasst zwei Termine zur Vorbereitung der Exkursion, die Exkursion, sowie einen Termin zur Nachbereitung. Die Anwesenheit bei diesen Terminen, sowie die Lektüre der Texte wird erwartet. Für die Studienleistung wird darüber hinaus eine Präsentation eines Themas während des literarischen Stadtspaziergangs in Wien absolviert.
