Die Veranstaltung führt in die Grundlagen des Hocharabischen (Fusha) ein.
Der Ansatz ist kommunikativ. Alle vier Fertigkeiten werden geübt.
Ziel des Kurses ist es, die Teilnehmer/-innen mit Grundstrukturen des Arabischen vertraut zu machen und sie in die Lage zu versetzen, einige alltägliche Situationen zu bewältigen. Im Kurs werden Grammatik, Lesen, Schreiben, Hören und Verstehen geübt. Auch kulturelle und landeskundliche Themen sind Bestandteil des Unterrichts.
