Technische Großprojekte müssen vor ihrer Umsetzung ihre ökonomische, ökologische und politische Durchführbarkeit belegen. Während Verfahren wie Rechnungsprüfung die wirtschaftliche Durchführbarkeit im Nachhinein feststellen, werden mit Kostennutzenrechnungen, Technikfolgenabschätzungen und Risikokalkulationen Verfahren bereitgestellt, die die Durchführbarkeit antizipieren. In diesem Kolloquium werden unterschiedliche Strategien, Verfahren und ihre Funktion im politischen Entscheidungsprozess anhand ausgewählter Fälle analysiert.
