Armut wird, nicht zuletzt seit den Veröffentlichungen der Armuts- und Reichtumsberichte der Bundesregierung, wieder vermehrt öffentlich diskutiert. Neben einer Einführung in Erklärungsansätze zur Entstehung von Armut in modernen kapitalistischen Gesellschaften, soll im Rahmen des Seminars diskutiert werden, welche psychischen und sozialen Auswirkungen Armut nach sich zieht, welche Bewältigungsformen von Armut sich unterscheiden lassen, und wie im Hinblick auf öffentliche Erziehung und Soziale Arbeit über dieses Thema gesprochen wird.
