201146 Entwicklungsbiologische und biomedizinische Aspekte der funktionellen Genomik (V) (SoSe 2001)

für fortgeschrittene Studenten mit Vorkenntnissen
(und Interesse an) Genetik, Molekularbiologie, Biochemie und Zell/Entwicklungsbiologie
Derzeit gibt es eine öffentliche Diskussion darüber, welche Forschungsansätze nach Abschluß der Sequen-zierbarbeiten in den Humanen Genomprojekten wichtig sind ("Postgenomik"). In dieser Vorlesung sollen die Zusammenhänge zwischen genetischer Information und Embryonentwicklung einerseits und Dispositionen zu Krankheiten andererseits an Hand neuerer Literatur diskutiert werden. Ein wichtiger Aspekt ist dabei auch die Rolle der vergleichenden Genomforschung und die Bedeutung biomedizinischer Modellorganismen, vom Nematoden über Drosophila zu Zebrafisch und Maus.
