This course will take place in hybrid form with meetings in presence and others with asynchronous work.
During this course, we will have a look at basic approaches to teaching English language competences in the familiar fields of teaching lexis and grammar, reading, listening, speaking, writing, mediation, intercultural competence and working with literary texts. We will broaden the view to approaches concerned with inclusive teaching. All through the course, we will combine theoretical input with practical work on task design and lesson planning in groups.

Student information |
The binding module descriptions contain further information, including specifications on the "types of assignments" students need to complete. In cases where a module description mentions more than one kind of assignment, the respective member of the teaching staff will decide which task(s) they assign the students.
The course is structured on the Lernraum+ and requires independent study, collaborative work on module tasks and attendance in person every three weeks.
The first meeting will start in the second week of lectures and will be online (zoom). All other meetings will either be in person only or consist of asynchronous assigments.
