In dieser Veranstaltung werden fortgeschrittene Methoden der angewandten CL praktisch und theoretisch erarbeitet. Es handelt sich dabei im Wesentlichen um Methoden des maschinellen Lernens, und dabei insbesondere um Methoden zur automatischen Klassifikation. Solche automatischen Klassifikationsaufgaben in der CL sind zum Beispiel die Zuordnung von Themengebieten zu Texten, die Erkennung von Referenten von anaphorischen Ausdrücken, die Bewertung von Tweets als positiv oder negativ, und vieles mehr.
