Ziel: Die Veranstaltung baut auf der Veranstaltung ¿Grundlagen der Demographie¿ auf. Es werden theoretische, vor allem aber methodische Aspekte der Mortalitätsanalyse behandelt. Hierzu zählen auch die in der Demographie üblichen Standardisierungsverfahren sowie die Grundlagen der Perioden- und Generationensterbetafeln. Außerdem werden Aspekte der differentiellen Mortalität behandelt. Im Vordergrund stehen anwendungsorientierte Verfahren der Mortalitätsanalyse, die jeweils anhand von Beispieldaten der Amtlichen Statistik illustriert werden.
