Epochenumbrüche sind eines der heikelsten Themen der Literaturgeschichtsschreibung und ihrer theoretischen Fundierung. Wie gelangt man von der einen zur anderen und wie und als was macht man den "Bruch", die Veränderung zwischen beiden deutlich? Produktionsorientiert gefragt: Was muß man ändern, um aus einem naturalistischen einen ästhetizistischen Text zu machen und aus einem ästhetizistischen einen der Neuen Sachlichkeit? Und was ist mit den unweigerlich entstehenden Mischformen? Diesen und weiteren Fragen soll am Beispiel der Umbrüche "Realismus/Naturalismus/Ästhetizismus" und "Ästhetizismus/Neue Sachlichkeit" nachgegangen werden, und zwar sowohl auf Basis der Lektüre und Diskussion entsprechender literaturtheoretischer Arbeiten, als auch durch "Überprüfung" an literarischen Fallbeispielen selbst. -
