The Bachelor with One Core Subject in Sports Science aims at extracurricular activities. The programme concludes with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and allows students to focus either on sports management, sports economics and sports sociology or on sports psychology and exercise science with the following specialization options:

  • Economy and Society

The aim of this specialization is to build up professional competences that are necessary to be able to responsibly and purposefully steer the development of the organisations located here in various areas of the sports system. In addition to a basic education in economics, students gain insights into the field of sports economics, sports sociology as well as sports and event management. Studies related to the professional field, in which initial practical experience can be gained, are an integral part of the education.

  • Psychology and Exercise

The specialization qualifies for activities in sport-related counselling and intervention fields. Students acquire the competence to be able to analytically and theoretically record, explain and predict movement behaviour and movement experience. This diagnostic competence puts them in a position to use movement as a means of psychological, motor and health-oriented intervention and to design and control this with the inclusion of theoretical concepts in different sport and movement-related fields of action (health sector, fitness industry, sport and movement therapy, club sport).
