Competencies

Non-official translation of the module descriptions. Only the German version is legally binding.

Students acquire the ability to build on their knowledge acquired in the disciplinary modules to familiarise themselves with problem references from other subjects (in particular reference and neighbouring disciplines of the Faculty of Sociology) and to transfer them to their own discipline.
On the other hand, the modules should serve to bring the problem awareness acquired in sociology into a foreign seminar context.

Content of teaching

Structurally similar modules (modules of around 12 to 17 CP) from other Faculties can be included in this module. The connection to the degree programme should be clear. Structural similarity refers to

  • the level of the module (Master's level),
  • the scope (workload) of the module,
  • the performance requirements (coursework, examinations) of the module.

The degree programme coordinator decides on recognition and creditability. The modules that can be credited are published on the faculty homepage.
