Competencies

  • Befähigung, eine tragfähige und relevante Fragestellung zu einem Thema der Geschichte des 19. und 20. Jahrhunderts im Anschluss an die Forschungsdiskussion zu entwickeln
  • Befähigung zur eigenständigen, theoriegeleiteten Analyse und Kontextualisierung eines Themas der Geschichte des 19. und 20. Jahrhunderts im Epochen- und Sachzusammenhang,
  • im vorgegebenen Rahmen selbstständige Recherche von Quellen und Forschungsliteratur der Epoche sowie kritischer Umgang mit beidem
  • inhaltlich und formal angemessene Darstellung der Ergebnisse in schriftlicher und mündlicher Form, Präsentation und kritische Erörterung im Seminar
  • Kompetenz zur kritischen Reflexion der Relevanz und des Analysewegs in mündlicher und schriftlicher Form

Content of teaching

Die beiden Veranstaltungen des Hauptmoduls sind eng aufeinander bezogen und werden in einem Semester studiert. Sie können von einem oder zwei Lehrenden angeboten werden oder auch zu einem vierstündigen Block zusammengefasst werden.

Die Veranstaltung "Historische Orientierung" kann in unterschiedlicher Form abgehalten werden, als Vorlesung, Lektürekurs, Übung, angeleitetes Selbststudium oder einer Mischform. Vermittelt wird ein vertieftes, problem- und forschungsorientiertes Kontextwissen zum Thema des Seminars.
Im "Seminar Moderne" werden Einzelthemen oder komplexe historische Sachverhalte anhand einschlägiger Quellen und Forschungsliteratur bearbeitet und in Bezug auf aktuelle Forschungsdiskussionen erörtert.

Recommended previous knowledge

Erfolgreicher Abschluss der Grundmodule (22-1.1 oder 22-1.1_a sowie 22-1.2_a oder 22-1.2_b) sowie Erfüllung der epochen- und themenspezifischen Sprachvoraussetzungen.

Historische Orientierung und Seminar stehen in einem engen inhaltlichen Zusammenhang und werden als Pakete im ekvv ausgewiesen. Da sich die Modulprüfung auf beide Veranstaltungen bezieht, ist der Besuch der zusammengehörigen Lehrveranstaltungen Voraussetzung für das erfolgreiche Absolvieren der Modulprüfung. Sie finden die zu Paketen ausgewiesenen Modulangebote des Fachs Geschichtswissenschaft, wenn Sie auf der Startseite des eKVV ihren Studiengang auswählen.

Im Seminar wird ein mündliches Referat (15-20 Min. Dauer), ein Essay (8.000 - 10.000 Zeichen, entspricht vier bis fünf Seiten) oder eine andere Leistung nach Maßgabe des Veranstalters erbracht. Die Studienleistung bereitet die Modulprüfung vor, indem sie Thema und Konzept oder einen ausgewählten Aspekt der Hausarbeit im Plenum zur Diskussion stellt.
