Competencies

Verständnis der Grundlagen der Digital-Kommunikationssysteme. Die praktische Fähigkeit, mehrere digitale Geräte miteinander zu vernetzen mit Ethernet und TCP/IP.

Content of teaching

Einführung in Protokoll-Dienste-Stack-Architektur; OSI Vergleichsmodell; TCP/IP-Stack-Architektur. Ethernet, IP, TCP, Anwendungsdienste (HTTP, SMTP, usw.). Eine Auswahl weiterer Themen wie WiFi (IEEE 802.11-Serie), Bluetooth. Lokale TCP/IP-Netze, WiFi-Ad-Hoc-Netze, Bluetooth-Piconetze, Quality-of-Service sowie auch nach der Interessenslage der Teilnehmer im Seminar. Praktischer Umgang mit Ethernet, Bridgeing, Routing und andere TCP/IP-Techniken, eine Einführung in Cisco IOS.

Die Modul(teil)prüfung kann in einigen Studiengängen nach Wahl der Studierenden auch "unbenotet" erbracht werden. Vor Erbringung ist eine entsprechende Festlegung vorzunehmen, eine nachträgliche Änderung (benotet - unbenotet) ist ausgeschlossen. Wird diese Option gewählt, ist es nicht möglich, dieses Modul zu verwenden, um es in einen Studiengang einzubringen, in dem dieses Modul bei der Gesamtnotenberechnung berücksichtigt wird.

Portfolio aus Übungsaufgaben, die veranstaltungsbezogen gestellt werden (Bestehensgrenze 50% der erzielbaren Punkte, individuelles Erläutern von Aufgaben) und Abschlussbericht (15-25 Seiten). Die Übungsaufgaben im Rahmen des Portfolios werden in der Regel wöchentlich ausgegeben.
Abschlussbericht bezieht sich auf die Durchführung der Übungsaufgaben.
