Competencies

Die Studierenden kennen die grundlegenden Operationen eines chemischen Experimentes und sind in der Lage, sie selbständig und sicher durchzuführen, den Verlauf des Experimentes zu dokumentieren und in einem Bericht, dessen Kern einem experimentellen Teil heutiger fachwissenschaftlicher Publikationen entspricht, darzulegen.

Content of teaching

Planung und Durchführung einfacher organischer Synthesen und Reinigungsoperationen einschl. Dokumentation der Synthesen in einem Laborbuch und Abfassen von Berichten, sicherer Umgang mit Chemikalien und experimentellen Aufbauten.
Umkristallisieren - Chromatographie - fraktionierte Destillation - Vakuumdestillation
Nucleophile Substitution - Addition - Eliminierung - elektrophile aromatische Substitution

Um dem experimentellen Charakter des Moduls gerecht zu werden, wird ein Portfolio aus Versuchen erstellt. Ein Versuch besteht aus:

  • Überprüfung der Vorkenntnisse inklusive sicherheitsrelevanter Aspekte (Antestat)
  • Versuchsdurchführung und Protokollierung von Beobachtungen und Ergebnissen
  • Anfertigen eines schriftlichen Versuchsprotokolls
  • Gespräch über das Versuchsprotokoll (Abtestat)

Einige Protokolle werden von Mitstudierenden in Form eines Peer Review korrigiert und kommentiert.
